Opportunity —
Orora Visual is a packaging & visual communications solutions provider and corrugated manufacturer. They serve a broad range of industries including agriculture, technology, food & beverage, pharmaceutical, automotive, and more. Focus heavily on customer service and value-added services and is best known for delivering customized, packaging & visual solutions to a wide variety of customers.
The Challenge —
The original process at Orora was to do all the orders manually by speaking to an Orora salesperson. After a better understanding of Orora’s infrastructure, it was time to move them into the digital age of the future. How do we design a system which is functionally capable of handling the required demands of ordering multiple print jobs when tracking and managing various marketing components, without over-complicating their existing product? Implementing the right functional capabilities required for clients to make orders and start marketing campaigns all in one central location was our primary concern when creating this tool.
Solution —
We began by evaluating what capabilities were necessary for a sales associate to adequately assist small and large clients. Our team then analyzed how our technology could aid the process and provide clients with a seamless experience. We asked ourselves: What potential issues could arise during the process? How would a sales associate assist clients that were on the platform? These questions, along with several others, were instrumental in determining what this admin website needed to accomplish. Starting with wireframe sketches, we used client feedback and reviewed system updates to allow us to focus on the usability aspects of the site. After completing the user experience, we moved on to work on the interface. Over the course of multiple iterations, our product has successfully aided many previous and future clients in the process of placing orders, the status of orders, and marketing materials. A seamless admin site that supported both consumer’s needs to find great printing materials and the support portal for ongoing marketing and sales material.
